چکیده
Background and Aim: Congenital or acquired diaphragmatic hernias are both possible. The present study aimed to investigate the superiority of laparoscopic surgery over open repair congenital with bioabsorbable mesh in hernia. Patients Methods: This retrospective was conducted on 7 hernia cases General Surgery Unit Federal Government Polyclinic Hospital, Islamabad from January 2015 December 2022. Diaphragmatic diagnosed confirmed CT scan. Bochdalek (BH), right-sided eventration diaphragm, left diaphragm (ED) were enrolled. Individual demographic details, clinical manifestations, description, treatment modalities, complications recorded. Results: overall mean age 42 years an range 30-62 years. Of total cases, there 6 (85.7%) male 1 (14.3%) female. incidence left-sided ED, ED 2 (28.6%), 4 (57.1%), respectively. major defect right side 15× cm 8

Laparoscopic repair of incarcerated diaphragmatic hernia with mesh.
Diaphragmatic hernias are now being approached laparoscopically. Incarcerated diaphragmatic hernia poses a special problem due to concerns about contamination. We describe a laparoscopic repair of such a hernia with the use of prosthetic mesh.
متن کاملLaparoscopic Repair of Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia in Adults
Background, Aims, and Objectives. Congenital diaphragmatic hernia typically presents in childhood but in adults is extremely rare entity. Surgery is indicated for symptomatic and asymptomatic patients who are fit for surgery. It can be done by laparotomy, thoracotomy, thoracoscopy, or laparoscopy. With the advent of minimal access techniques, the open surgical repair for this hernia has decreas...
متن کاملLaparoscopic Repair of Diaphragmatic Defects: Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia (of Bochdalek) and Eventration
Minimally invasive surgery (MIS) is ideally suited to diagnosis and treatment of all forms of diaphragmatic defects. Obviously, the laparoscope affords accurate direct imaging of defects that have classically eluded accurate description by radiological techniques, and does so with minimal morbidity. But laparoscopy also allows repair of these defects with increased precision and vastly decrease...
متن کامل[Laparoscopic management of a congenital diaphragmatic hernia].
Morgagni diaphragmatic hernia is a birth defect whose presentation in adults is rare. Diagnosis is usually made as an incidental finding through image studies; infrequently, patients may present with symptoms such as dyspnea or retrosternal pain. Open surgical repair has been the preferred management method of symptomatic presentation. In this paper we present the case of a 42 year-old-male wit...
متن کاملLaparoscopic repair of an intrapericardial diaphragmatic hernia.
An isolated intrapericardial diaphragmatic hernia is very rare. Only 15 cases have been reported, 2 of which are in adults. The defect in the anterior diaphragm allows abdominal contents to enter the pericardial cavity. We report the 16th case--the third in an adult--and its laparoscopic repair.
